In 2012 Guilherme was accepted for an internship at OAB, the office of architecture runned by Arch. Carlos Ferrater and his family.
He then spent the next 8 months in Barcelona, working and collaborating in several projects under the supervision of all partners and project managers, especially Arch. Xavier Martí, who played a very important role in Guilherme development and evolution throughout the learning process acquired by this experience. During the Internship, he had the opportunity to explore a wide range of building typologies in several architectural formats, which helped enhance his sensibility for the different moments and components that form the professional skill set of an Architect. Moreover, this training camp took place in a multicultural open environment, where co-workers from all over the globe shared, not only a working practice and a design process but above all, a didactic life experience which originated exceptional international friendships. Last, but not least, this internship gave Guilherme the opportunity to do his indispensable Master Thesis research in loco, giving him the privilege of experiencing the city's lifestyle and atmosphere in-between the lines of tourism. |
